Baby feet, always so cute. This is Wendy Lu McCombs baby feet. Gives her parents name and addresses on Barnett Street.
With memories of living upstairs, a barn in the backyard this would appear to be the house where the family, Dale, Mary, big brother Craig and Wendy lived once she left the hospital. Though in need of paint currently, it looks like a nice large house. Sun-porch above in back and sun type room in front for the downstairs folks. Across the street is a church.
Cute picture playing in the backyard. You can see it truly looks like it's in the country, not smack dab in the middle of the city/town of Marion.
Wendy needed a transfusion due to being anemic. Look at the prices back in April of 1952. Medical care must surely be an area of the largest inflation in prices from then to now.
A hand written receipt the following month indicates insurance paid $43.15 of the $46.15 charge leaving a balance of $3.00. Seems things were more efficient then too with timeliness of insurance payments.
